Palmilla Golf Club, designed by Jack Nicklaus, was the first Jack Nicklaus Signature course in Latin America, opening in 1992. It remains one of the anchor amenities of the Palmilla community.
Course Layout
The club has 27 holes across three nines — Arroyo, Mountain, and Ocean. The Arroyo Nine runs through desert terrain and canyon fairways, the Mountain Nine offers elevated tees with Sea of Cortez views, and the Ocean Nine is the most photographed of the three, with oceanfront holes along the coastline.
Access and Membership
The course is open to homeowners, resort guests, and the public by tee time booking. Specific membership tiers, guest privileges, and any transfer rules tied to property ownership change from time to time, so confirm current terms directly with the club or your HOA rather than relying on older published details. Our Palmilla Golf Course page has more detail on the club and how it fits into the broader community.
Nearby Resorts and Neighborhoods
One&Only Palmilla sits next to the course, with Dreams Los Cabos and Hilton Los Cabos also nearby. Sub-neighborhoods like Palmilla Estates sit closer to the course than others, which matters if daily golf access without a long drive is a priority. The club sits within the Los Cabos corridor near San José del Cabo; check current conditions for actual travel time to and from the airport rather than relying on a fixed estimate.
Living Near the Course
For buyers specifically prioritizing golf access, it’s worth asking an agent which listings sit within easy walking or golf-cart distance of the clubhouse versus a longer drive within the community. Browse homes for sale near the golf club, or explore the full palmilla.properties listing inventory to compare options across sub-neighborhoods.
